ABOUT US
Asante and Sheniqua Ewers met at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York. Asante is an illustrator and Sheniqua is a graphic artist. Unknowingly they were hanging out with the same group of friends at school for over a year and didn’t even speak to each other.
One day their eyes locked in the computer lab and they smiled at each other in passing. One of their friends noticed the spark and decided to do something about it. Little did their friend know that just that one action of exchanging their numbers with each other would create a relationship that has lasted over 20 years and produced another creative being, their daughter Zuri Ewers, who is a photographer.
Each blessed with their own unique gift they decided to create a family business. AZS Art Studio displays each artistic skills of this African American family in their own unique way.
