The painting is a work of art that will be the cover art to her next book called Sundays and Hot Buttered Rolls: A Granddaughter of Harlem Speaks. Asante seamlessly weaves together colors and textures resulting in a visual feast that beautifully reflects the essence of Carla's poetic memory of her father.
